Mr Neil Fergie is a highly experienced ENT surgeon based in Nottingham. He specialises in treating general ENT conditions such as hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), vertigo, dizziness, glue ear and tonsillitis. 

Mr Fergie graduated from The University of Glasgow Medical School in 1991 and undertook ENT specialist training at Glasgow, Manchester and the East Midlands. During his training, Mr Fergie completed an MD thesis at The University of Leicester on neuroprotection in the cochlea. He established a multidisciplinary group that focuses on biofilm research in glue ear (OME). He spent nine months on a fellowship in ENT in Western Australia at Perth Children's Hospital and Sir Charles Gardner Hospitals which also involved delivering ENT services to remote communities in North Western Australia and the Western Desert.

He was jointly appointed to provide ENT services at The King's Mill Hospital and The Queen's Medical Centre from 2005. Since appointment as a consultant in 2005 he has held various positions within the NHS including Head of Foundation Year 1 training (responsibility for newly qualified doctors within the trust); and clinical lead for head and neck services (ophthalmology, ENT, audiology, maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics).

In addition to a busy clinical practice and a number of roles within the NHS, Mr Fergie is an examiner for the ENT examinations both in Europe and in the UK (Fellowship and European board exams). He's a board member for the UK examination, he has recently been invited as a visiting Professor for The University of Namibia Medical School.

With over 13 years’ worth of experience, Dr Abu-Bakr is the first ever surgeon to describe the Multi-Pass technique, which treats huge varicose veins using the Endovenous Radial Laser 1470 nm and without the need for open surgery. The technique was described in the second international meeting of the College of Phlebology in London in March 2018. Proudly, Dr Abu-Bakr won second prize for the best scientific paper.

Dr Abu-Bakr is also the first surgeon in the UK and second worldwide who treats varicose veins with the new high-intensity focused ultrasound known as SONOVEIN S, which is the only method in the world that does not require incisions. He is the second surgeon in the UK to treat varicose veins using the Endovenous Microwave Ablation (EMWA).

In 2020, Dr Abu-Bakr and his team at The Whiteley Clinic were awarded the Best Varicose Veins Treatment (UK) by Global Health & Pharma magazine. He is also an honorary senior lecturer at The College of Phlebology, UK.

Mr Desai oversees the care of approximately 550–600 complex spinal injury patients annually in his outpatient clinic. Additionally, he is responsible for a minimum of 14 inpatients at any given time, providing specialised rehabilitation at the London SCIC and other private facilities. His work reflects his commitment to improving outcomes for individuals with challenging spinal conditions.

Mr Desai completed his specialist training in rehabilitation medicine in Newcastle upon Tyne, Middlesbrough, and Sunderland from 2007 to 2011. His academic contributions include nine peer-reviewed publications, with one currently under submission. He has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences and is frequently invited as a speaker to share his expertise.

Dr Murphy undertook a sabbatical as an associate professor of gastroenterology and director of inflammatory bowel diseases at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas, USA and regularly trains fellow medical professionals and students on his areas of expertise. Dr Murphy currently sees private patients at Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Belfast. 
  
Additional to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Murphy has maintained an active role in research throughout his esteemed career, producing numerous academic publications which appear in peer-reviewed journals. Ms Zanotti is also highly esteemed in the field of medical education. She functions as both a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for the Foundation Doctors and more senior Trainees. As a Consultant, she supervises surgical trainees in the fields of Upper GI and General Surgery on a daily basis. While completing her fellowship at the Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust, she tutored both 4^th and 6^th years medical students. She was also an assessor for final-year medical students.
